A bustling, spacious Australian-style cafe in Tebrau that excels in massive bagel sandwiches and group dining. Food is hearty and reservations are easy, but expect slow service and high noise levels during peak weekend rushes.

The Insider Review

The Founders Cafe is a massive, warehouse-style space in Kawasan Perindustrian Tebrau that comfortably accommodates huge groups. The aesthetic is industrial yet cozy, complete with an indoor playground to keep kids occupied. The trade-off for this sheer size is the noise; it gets loud fast. While you can reserve ahead and even pre-order food for large parties to minimize waiting, walk-ins on weekends still face noticeably slow service, and staff are occasionally known to rush diners out by clearing plates prematurely.

The food is undeniably hearty. The Aussie Beef Patty Bagel 澳式牛肉汉堡贝果 is a standout—stuffed to the brim and incredibly filling, though the accompanying fry portion could be larger. The Piri Piri Fried Chicken 霹雳炸鸡 and Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg Bagel 烟熏三文鱼炒蛋贝果 also draw praise for generous ingredient ratios and well-cooked proteins. Vegetarians or lighter eaters will enjoy the well-executed Quesadilla 墨西哥薄饼 and Basil Pesto Pasta 罗勒青酱意面.

Coffee holds its own against the heavy mains. The Sesame Latte 芝麻拿铁 is a unique, highly recommended option showcasing excellent latte art. The Gula Melaka Cake 椰糖蛋糕 hits the sweet spot—fluffy and not overly sugary. Parking in this industrial zone is notoriously difficult, with double-parking rampant during lunch hours. Prices run high, especially for the Big Breakfast, but the solid portions justify the spend.
