D' Cafe

★ 4.5 (0 reviews)

A gorgeous, sun-drenched glasshouse cafe delivering impeccable service and hearty Bali-style brunches. While the premium pricing and occasionally unbalanced flavor profiles spark debate, the flawless hospitality and striking architecture keep the crowds returning.

The Insider Review

D' Cafe operates out of a stunning glasshouse structure in Taman Sri Tebrau, perpetually packed during both peak and off-peak hours. The natural lighting and spacious layout mimic a high-end Bali resort, making it incredibly popular. What truly sets this cafe apart is the legendary hospitality. Staff operate with extreme efficiency, anticipating needs seamlessly—whether that means escorting patrons to Grabs with umbrellas during a downpour or effortlessly accommodating wheelchair users.

The menu is visually creative but leans heavily into premium, Singapore-level pricing. The Pot-a-Tato Rosti 土豆丝饼 and the Into the Wild Pasta 野生菌菇意面 are highly praised for their robust, balanced flavors. The Purple Rice Salmon 紫米三文鱼 is an absolute must-order, featuring perfectly seared fish. However, the Avocado Toast 牛油果吐司 is a notorious rip-off for RM32, featuring a razor-thin smear of avocado overwhelmed by thick halloumi and a heavily oiled, aggressively dressed balsamic side salad.

Desserts here are mandatory. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake 巧克力花生酱蛋糕 is frequently hailed as one of the best cakes in all of JB. Despite the steep prices and the fact that a single main might not fill you up, the lightning-fast kitchen and unmatched service standards make D' Cafe an essential, high-tier brunch destination.
